Essay Contest Finalist

We are proud to announce Amari Mitchell of the Springfield Conservatory of the Arts School as a finalist of the 29th Annual Massachusetts Credit Union Student Essay Contest. Amari and students across Massachusetts in the 7th and 8th grade were asked by the Cooperative Credit Union Association to write a 250 word essay asking, “As a young adult, what do you think is the most important lesson credit unions can teach young people about managing their financial lives that will help them as they grow into adults with careers and families?”.

Amari represents Pioneer Valley Credit Union and the Pioneer Valley Chapter of the Cooperative Credit Union Association. Amari was honored at a ceremony and accompanied by her family, principal, teacher and Pioneer Valley Credit Union. All the 2019 recipients were issued citations by Massachusetts Governor Baker and Lieutenant Governor Karen Polito.
